Biography
Julia Garlich is a personal injury attorney in Chicago, Illinois, who represents individuals in a broad range of injury matters. She recognizes the profound impact an injury can have on individuals and their families and is committed to securing the best possible result for every client. Julia works closely with her clients throughout the litigation process, ensuring they feel informed and supported at every stage of their case.
Julia joined Anesi Ozmon as an Associate after clerking with the firm throughout law school. As a clerk, Julia gained hands on experience in complex injury cases and drafted motions and briefs that helped secure favorable results for clients.
Julia graduated cum laude from Chicago-Kent College of Law with a Certificate in Workplace Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution. During law school, Julia was a member Chicago-Kent’s nationally recognized Moot Court Honor Society, earning awards such as Best Oralist and Second Place at the 2024 Elder Law Moot Court Competition in Florida and finishing as an Octofinalist at the 2023 Constitutional Law competition in Virginia. Julia also received CALI Awards for the highest grades in Labor Law and Trial Advocacy.
As part of her training in alternative dispute resolution, Julia became a certified mediator through the Center for Conflict Resolution, where she mediated a variety of disputes in Chicago. This experience strengthened her ability to manage conflict and guide parties toward resolution—skills she now brings to her advocacy on behalf of injured clients.
Before attending law school, Julia graduated magna cum laude from the University of Missouri with a degree in Journalism (investigative news writing) and a minor in Political Science. Her background as a reporter enhances her ability to investigate cases thoroughly, uncover key facts, and tell her clients’ stories with clarity and impact.
