Anesi Ozmon, Rodin, Novak & Kohen, Ltd. Attorneys Write Amicus Brief for Supreme Court of Illinois

On Behalf of | Firm News

Partners Jeffrey M. Alter and Douglas A. Colby along with Associate Hayley G. Slefo of Anesi Ozmon, Rodin, Novak & Kohen, Ltd. wrote an amicus brief to the Supreme Court of Illinois on behalf of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association (ITLA). The brief makes an argument against crediting the plaintiff with a 25% workers’ compensation fee on future medical benefits.

This is another example of the great work that our team of experienced trial lawyers and litigators do to protect workers’ rights in Illinois. We are proud of our attorneys’ contributions to assist in the fight for injured laborers and tradespeople. We believe that every worker should not suffer economic hardships if they are injured while on the job. The amicus brief our attorneys produced for the Supreme Court of Illinois will serve to help protect the laws that ensure workers injured on the job are fairly compensated by their employers.
